Test your Richie ad creatives by using the Richie Ads Preview app

Start testing by logging in to the Richie Ads Preview web console at ads-preview.richie.fi

A user account will be created when you sign in for the first time.

Type your email address and click on the login button. Within a few seconds, you'll recieve a URL in your inbox which will allow you to login to the Richie Ads Preview web console. Once logged in, your browser will remember your session and you will not need to log in again later. 
If you need to login using another browser or computer, simply type your email address and you'll receive an email with a URL which will allow you to get access to your account.
Ad creatives are uploaded as zip files. Drag and drop your ad creative zip on the marked area or click on the marked area to choose a file.

Testing ad creatives on an iOS device

Download the  Richie Ads Preview app to start previewing and testing your ad creative on an iOS device.

Upon its initial launch, the app will ask you for permission to access the camera on your device in order to scan QR codes used for testing.

Once you've approved, you're ready to start scanning QR codes generated in the Richie Ads Preview web console.

Your ad creative will be downloaded automatically within a few seconds. The app will give you instructions for testing the ad.

Make sure to test the following features for rich media ad creatives

  • swiping, the ad creative should not prevent swipe gestures to the previous or following page
  • interactive elements (hot spots, video content etc.)
  • click areas
  • analytics

You can test the analytics implemented in your ad creatice by swiping to the following page with a log output for events within the ad creative. Note that clicks to external URLs are automatically logged. 

Android Richie Ads Preview

The Richie Ads Preview app is available for free on the Google Play Store for Android devices. Ad creatives can be tested with this tool which mimics the actual production environment of the ad. 
Upon its initial launch, the app will want to connect with your Dropbox account. Once you've approved linking the app to your Dropbox, it will only have access to the 'Richie Ads Preview' folder that's automatically created in your Dropbox.
Start testing by uploading the folder containing your ad creative to the 'Richie Ads Preview' folder in your Dropbox.
The app sychronizes with your Dropbox after any modifications to your ad creative, in this way modifications you make are available for testing through the app within a few moments.

Adding ads to Richie Ads Preview

To start testing your ad creative with Richie Ads Preview, add the folder containing your ad creative to the 'Richie Ads Preview' Dropbox folder.

Note that an index.html file should always be included in the directory.

Start testing

Having successfully uploaded ad creatives to your Richie Ads Preveiw folder, you're ready to start testing ad creatives on a device.
Ad creatives will appear ready for testing within a few moments after launching the app. Synchronizing might take up to a few minutes if you have several ad creatives in your testing folder.
Choose the ad you want to test by tapping 'View'.
